There is a lot that goes into starting a new business, especially when you are the face of your brand. I needed some outstanding headshot/lifestyle photographs and found Sarah Barre Harrison on Thumbtack. She was so personable and professional from the very start. She answered my questions quickly and I was able to schedule a photoshoot easily. I also asked Sarah for recommendations on hair/makeup. She booked someone for me who would come to her studio before the shoot. Joel did my hair and makeup and was phenomenal. I will use him for any future hair/makeup needs. Sarah was exceptional from beginning to end. I am so thrilled with my final shots and can't wait to finish my website and launch my new business. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a brief discussion about what is needed. I'll ask different questions about the style of photography, who is involved, what they would like to achieve and if they have any examples of other work they would like to emulate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm mostly self-taught but I did attend a 2-year college in Commercial Photography. I also enjoy taking refresher courses online to stay up to date with current techniques and/or new trends that pertain to the field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became interested in photography when I was very young (11 years old). My father showed me the basics back in 1992 and photography has been an important part of my life ever since.
