FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in straightforward and transparent pricing. Before starting work, I’ll discuss the issue with you, explain the likely scope, and make sure you understand the expected cost. Some projects can be quoted at a fixed price, while troubleshooting or more complex IT work may be billed based on the time required. I focus on solving the problem efficiently and will never recommend equipment or services you don’t need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a short conversation to understand the problem, what equipment or systems are involved, and what you are trying to accomplish. From there, I determine whether the issue can be handled remotely or requires an onsite visit. I’ll diagnose the problem, explain what I find in plain language, discuss the options with you, and then complete the agreed-upon work. Before finishing, I verify that everything is working properly and answer any questions you may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive hands-on experience in information technology, including computer hardware and software, networking, Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, troubleshooting, and technology management. My career has included both technical hands-on roles and senior technology leadership, which allows me to troubleshoot individual computer problems while also understanding how technology fits into a larger home or business environment. I continually stay current with Microsoft, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and emerging technologies.
