Mr. Shegog's teaching style is organic. He reinforces key fundamentals while introducing new techniques tailored to his students skill level. The class discussion was focused on developing sound judgement and proper mindset. A very positive and encouraging class atmosphere!
This is the first group workout that I have really stuck with for longer than 2 weeks. I thought I would struggle getting up at 5 AM to workout, but it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. The classes are tough, but Josh makes them fun and they go by quickly, and you feel great for the rest of the day!

Matt has been my personal trainer for roughly 5 months. In that time, I've lost several inches off of my thighs, stomach, hips, and calves. I am down 12-15 lbs (highest weight versus lowest weight gathered in period measured) I have gained inches in my chest, increased my stamina of workouts, pushed myself harder and gone farther than I've expected. While this doesn't seem like much - I once took a kickboxing class 2-3 days a week for an hour over a year and at most lost 20 lbs. This was over 10 years ago when my metabolism was much higher. I have a different body type and my goals are different, but I know my body and can testify to the positive change I'm experiencing in part due to Matt's intervention. Matt is an extremely well-rounded trainer with over 20 years of experience who exhibits his professionalism and know-how with every instruction he gives and the guidance he bestows. He knows how to masterfully tailor exercises to fit my current state and yet still be able to push me to the next level safely. Matt's workout regime changes from session to session and is never predictable or boring. Matt deploys new workouts and is always up-to-date on the latest fitness trends and and honest about their effectiveness. I consider myself lucky to have met Matt and find a trainer who is skillfully trained in his profession and knows how to apply those skills to affect change. I highly recommend Matt for personal training, nutrition consulting, and/or for professional fitness training services.
Im a high school teacher with no previous martial arts experience, and I would highly recommend Jerrys classes. He works very hard to meet each student at their ability level, and for me that is both appreciated for my lower level of ability and respected as a fellow teacher. He is very personable and takes an interests in everyone that trains with him, finding time to get one-on-one instruction with everyone to insure their personal progress through the curriculum. Guro Jerrys curriculum is well organized and thematic in nature. No matter your experience level with martial arts, you can learn something in every class. Jerry organizes classes thematically, so they build on one another and are engaging. I feel like I can competently use any of the skills he has taught me despite my lack of previous experience and frequent training interruptions. Something that sets Jerry apart for other instructors I have experienced is his commitment to his students. Due to a variety of reasons, I have had an interrupted schedule this year. Whenever I return to class, Jerry knows exactly where I was and where I need to be. By no means would I recommend interruptions in serious training, but I think it speaks to Jerrys personal commitment to each student that he has patiently worked through my schedule issues and continues to deliver high end training that I can both enjoy and potentially use if necessary.
I have been training with Jeremy for the past year. He has turned me from a skinny weak kid who couldn’t do anything physically, to a strong young adult with a new level of confidence. He blends the right amount of tough and encouraging, helping with any fitness levels. I have also had many injuries sports related, Jeremy has the know how to deal with different injuries and sensitivities for recovery. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, or become a beast. Mark was great and super committed to empowering us through teaching self defense. He informed us and gave us hands on practice with different scenarios and the correct moves to neutralize our "attacker" and get away. I feel way more equipped and confident after taking lessons with Mark. He was sensitive to our needs if we had any physical issues, and all around trustworthy. I am so glad I was able to take lessons with him and learn from his plentiful experience.
