FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As when I was taking lessons when I was younger, I think it's really important to find a teacher who is enthusiastic about helping the student see the excitement and joy in music and who encourages practicing an instrument to experience that music in a new way. Also, the more comfortable you feel, naturally the more attentive and willing you become to learn, so finding a teacher who encourages and nurtures an environment of comfort and personal relatability is the way to go. Because this can be a vulnerable process, where students are trying to learn something, not just about music, but about themselves, and exploring interests and parts of themselves they are unsure about or trying to "flesh out" so to speak. A good teacher needs to be caring and comforting with this process.
