FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are as follows: 30 min: $30 45 min: $40 60 min: $50 I do charge for day-of cancellations. If I am unaware of your cancellation before the day of your lesson, you still need to pay me. If the student notifies me before the day of your lesson, there is absolutely no obligation to pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Work with the client to create a curriculum that develops fundamentals needed to move in the direction of the students goals. A student may say: "I want to play like John Mayer!", and I will lead them towards that by supplementing the material the student works on with theory, technical exercises and real musical transcriptions that will lead the student towards a well-rounded arrival at their goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.M. in Commercial Music from Belmont University. I studied commercial guitar for 4 years, working on every style from country to jazz to show tunes and more. I have also performed professionally in Nashville for the past 4 years, traveling the United States (as well as Scotland!) playing with country bands, playing in the pits for musicals, working with local pop artists and doing jazz gigs.
