I’m an independent 70 year old who’s always done for himself. But with my advancing years, I find myself needing help with some projects in and around my home which sits on acreage deep in the woods. I had the good fortune to meet a young professional in Nolensville named Cole Piper. He relocated to Nolensville last summer with his wife and two young children from the Florida panhandle. Cole is the sole proprietor of Piper Electric. He is a licensed electrician but he can do most anything. Not just electrical work but all sorts and types of handyman projects, some of which have become a stretch for me. Each time I’ve hired him, Cole has thoroughly assessed what I wanted done with me in tow and has often made polite suggestions to improve the outcome and/or reduce the cost. He honors his commitments to be here which is respectful of my schedule. These days so many are not… And every job has been completed in the time he pledges if not sooner. Sometimes at under his quoted budget. I recently added a shop on my property to house my vehicles and hobbies. It is quite large and I was dreading the cost to have the structure illuminated by a commercial electrical company. I mentioned it to Cole one day when he was building an off-ground enclosure under my deck to protect my two goats. He paused and asked if he could take a look at the lighting job. Two days later, Cole got back to me with a recommendation for high output LED light fixtures, a comprehensive layout plan to maximize illumination throughout the shop, and an estimate for the ancillary wiring, devices, and controls needed. He even spec’ed Alexa-compatible WiFi wall switches to turn all 16 shop lights on or off by voice from anywhere in my shop or house. The total cost was well below the crude estimates I had received from commercial electrical contractors. They wanted to dispatch crews of workers I didn’t know with no clear cut timeline to start or complete the job. I could not be more pleased with the job Cole did! The work is all done to code which is important in case of a catastrophic event. Cole is equally adept at home interior or exterior projects of all sorts: electrical, plumbing, wood-working, etc. From existing to new construction, if you need it, Cole can probably do it. He is personable, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator. Cole provides professional quality receipts for his work which is a best practice and important if you track the invested value of home improvements. I give Piper Electric my highest recommendation.
