- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our installation prices as well as my design fee vary due to each landscape is different and site conditions vary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I set up a consultation to get a better idea of what they want and need. I lay out the design and normally will email the layout to them and we discuss over the phone. After the phone call, I make adjustments to the plan, if needed, and then schedule a return site visit. The first set of design revisions is complimentary The design fee varies based on the scope of the work and is refunded as a job credit when we are contracted to install the project
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After earning my B.S. degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design from The University of Tennessee in 1987 I explored different paths in the green industry. Some of which were golf course management, sales for Pennington seed company and commercial outdoor equipment sales. As time passed, I always felt a tug to return to designing and building outdoor spaces. In 1993, I gave in to that tug and have been doing ever since.
