Hello! My name is Skylar, and I am a makeup artists based in Nashville, TN. I specialize in beauty, special effects, and body painting. I graduated from Academy Of Makeup Arts in 2022 and have been pursuing makeup full time since then. I’ve worked with multiple clients and companies doing films, music videos, photoshoots and more. We hired Skylar for our company Christmas party and she was beyond phenomenonal! As a guy, I was so nervous to get my makeup done for the first time, but she made the process super easy and comfortable by explaining every step of the process in great detail; from her reasoning for picking the specific skincare, all the way to her explaining why white eyeliner wasn't a good choice for me. I really loved how in depth and knowledgeable she was about her products and application techniques. She didn't just do this because it was my first time either, she was explaining every step to everyone as an added sense of assurance and confidence. She worked on about 8 people that day and we all LOVED our looks. I got SO MANY compliments from random strangers that day and it even made me want to get into using a little bit of "man makeup" to hide my dark circles under my eyes. There's no way in the world I would've considered using makeup daily without Skylar and her over abundant help and genuine care for not only myself, but each client. I cannot wait to have her back this year for our next party! If you're still on the fence, jump off to whatever side Skylar is on and I promise you will NOT regret it!!

Skylar was absolutely amazing!! She did my senior photos makeup and it looked absolutely phenomenal! She also was incredible with product recommendations and helped me find my all time favorite lip color! Her hair styling also was incredible! Super fun artist with great recommendations for looks as well!

At the end of March 2025, I got the upmost pleasure of getting to work with Skylar Merli for my first photoshoot ever. During our time, she put me in three different makeup looks of which all were elegant and extravagent! Her penmanship is sharp, but light and deliquet. She's a patient MUA with an ear for her clients, and I certainly look forward to working with her again, should the day come! 🌞💖
