My attention to detail from over 30 years as a finish carpenter, remodeler, and also a knowledgeable contractor in all trades of residential construction makes me a valued asset on-call for any homeowner. Photos i have uploaded include recent jobs, mostly cabinet work in Belle Meade and the Brentwood/Williamson Co. area where most of my cabinet work usually is, and also much older photos all the way back to me at 15 years old building bmx ramps. I grew up on a farm so i am well seasoned in work from fencing/barn work, where measurements are feet and inches (eyeball-it if your good) all the way up to the most precise work with calipers and micrometers while doing machining and engine work, or cnc work for precision cabinet parts. I try and do everything myself for the most part and have learned over the years just how much is possible for one man to accomplish who is not in a rush. I have built entire barns and storage units by myself with only the help of a tractor or skid steer, but sometimes not even that. Also most of my cabinet jobs i have done entirely alone with help only for transport and installation. The bright side to doing it all alone is that i can guarantee every screw is tight and every nail well placed, the downside being the time in which it takes to complete the job. All this is to say, if the job has a short time frame and demands expediency i will call some friends or acquaintances to knock the work out with a crew. Generally i charge $100/hr for short term jobs such as a single afternoon or single day, which covers travel time and the cost of maintaining a full size truck full of every tool possible, and also down time getting supplies, or when i make dry runs for people who have the wrong parts, etc. But for a returning client i will drop that hourly rate down significantly since many of those factors disappear when a relationship is established. I specialize in blueprints/technical construction drawings in 2D and 3D mediums and attended MTSU for engineering and construction management with a minor in chemistry; work about half my time in the office and half in the field.
