Hometown handyman services is a small business that my late father started many years ago. Along the way he passed down the knowledge onto me as he saw that I also had a passion for the trades. The main thing I learned from him was always do the absolute best work possible (as if it were going to be in/on your own home) and for a price you wouldn't have any hesitation if paying for the work yourself. After more than 34 years involving myself in schooling and work in a large variety of skilled labor trades I am carrying on the tradition my father and I have loved for over 40 years. I have background in electrical, light plumbing, heating- ventilation- and air conditioning (HVAC) installation and repair, rough framing, decks, covered porches, trim carpentry, privacy fencing, interior/exterior door installation, laminate flooring, landscape and lawn care, and many, many, many more basic homeowner needs so feel free to ask about any type of work involving installation, maintenance,and repair for your home or business and chances are I have knowledge and experience and would love to give you an estimate to take total care of all your project needs. By keeping overhead as low as possible I am able to do these things "at a cost I wouldnt have any hesitation paying for myself". I offer free quotes, on all contracted jobs, quick response times, and the very best of my abilities. Labor rates are as follows on all time and material jobs $80/hr for one man or $120/hr for two men plus the cost of materials necessary to complete the task.

Michael completely rebuilt our damaged laundry room after an accident. He reframed, re-insulated, drywalled, replaced toilet, installed new sink/vanity, painted walls, replaced trim and put new linoleum flooring down ! We’ve got the best looking laundry room in town now ! He was always in communication with me, his estimate was true to his word, professional and a super nice guy. I believe this man can do it all ! You don’t find too many workers like him anymore ! Will DEFINITELY hire this man again !

Michael and his assistant Shay were great to work with. The put in a difficult dig door for me in just 2 hours. Difficult because of the shingled siding on my house. But they figured it out quickly, made adjustments and perfectly place the door inside and out. Never a second measurement or a recut with the saw. I love what they did at my house. Will use them again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Total time for a job includes any time spent picking up and or delivering materials needed and total time on the job site for all "Time & material" jobs. Estimates are also an option for total 100% complete job. the job. Any materials or products needed for a job are to be paid for by customer on the day of purchase unless agreed upon otherwise (to be added to labor total).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once the proposal is accepted and any materials needed are purchased and on site I will inform customer what day and time I will be arriving at job location and approximately when I will be finished barring any unforseen issues.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended 2 vocational education schools for the mechanical and electrical trades as well as a combined 33 years experience in mechanical, electrical, carpentry, household plumbing, landscape and lawn care and basically anything to do with home maintenance, repair, installation, and construction.
