How did you get started doing this type of work?
I ma not sure if it was from Nixon coming back from China and talking about acupuncture in 1972 or from the TV show 'Kung Fu' that sparked my initial interest in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Only got to someone who is a Licensed acupuncture. Do not go to someone in another profession who is certified in acupuncture - they do not have the proper training. NCCAOM certification is a standard for proficiency. Ask them if they are NCCAOM Certified. AS well as being State Licensed and NCCAOM certified, I participated in the NCCAOM testing in 1984.
