- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 3 different ways. By the hour, the job or the item. eg. fixtures or appliances. I give discounts for multiple items or projects done in the same day. And I also charge a little extra for jobs that are 25 miles away or further, to compensate for travel time and fuel.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please give as much detail about your project as possible. It really helps us with our estimating and it also lets us know if we can even do the job or not. Many customers don’t know that thumbtack charges us as soon as contact is made, whether we get the job or not. So details are are very important.
