- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our certifications require us to parcticipate and complete continuing education credits every year to retain our certifications. We constantly read new research from peer-reviewed journals to stay at the cutting edge of fitness, nutrition and weight loss strategies.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The biggest thing for me is getting people through the first 4-6 weeks, when they really start to realize that they are actually becoming more fit, that the excess fat weight is actually slowly and steadily coming off and they start to really FEEL energized - like all humans should feel.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most people present with some weight loss to accomplish and come with varying degrees of current fitness. My job is to do a detailed assessment of current status so that each client can progress safely and progressively towards their goals. Past and current injuries must be accounted for in the exercise programming process.
