FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The quote provides on thumbtack is a special rate you receive when using thumbtack. No other web coupons or online discounts may be used. The Thumbtack price is a great value! If it has been a very long time since your last tuning and a major pitch raise is needed, additional charges may apply. I will speak to you first of course.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first tuning is the beginning of a relationship between you, the piano and me. My first appointment will be a bit longer than my 6 month tuning appointments. I'm going to try to get to know you as a musician and find out where you piano is currently in terms of tuning, regulation and condition. This will help me as I move forward over the years in tuning and caring for your piano. I'm going to help you love your piano more and more every year because I understand how the piano works, I understand, as a fellow musician, what you want from it and how to discuss that with you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology and a Certified Master Piano Technician. I have a BA in Music Education in Piano and Voice. I also own and run an international piano technician trade and training organization called the Apex Piano Technicians Network. Through the network, I personally train other techs around the world and provide them with specially designed tools for the trade that I have created with my mentors and friends.
