FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Water damage restoration is billed differently than a handyman job. Most of the invoice is equipment per-day (air movers and dehumidifiers running 24/7 for 3–5 days) plus per-square-foot extraction and antimicrobial treatment, with a small labor component on top. We bill using Xactimate — the same line-item pricing software every major insurance carrier uses — with rates localized to your ZIP code. For an insurance-covered loss, your typical out-of-pocket is just your policy deductible. Free on-site inspection, moisture mapping, and written estimate with every emergency dispatch. No charge to come look.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. You call us — 24/7, including nights and weekends. We dispatch a technician within 1–2 hours. 2. On-site inspection: moisture mapping with thermal imaging, scope of work, photos, and a written drying plan you can hand to your insurance adjuster. 3. Same-day extraction and equipment setup — water removal, controlled demolition only where it's required, air movers and dehumidifiers staged. 4. Daily monitoring for 3–5 days with moisture readings, photos, and equipment adjustments until your structure meets the IICRC dry standard. 5. Final inspection, written dry-out certification, and a full Xactimate-documented invoice delivered to you and your insurance carrier.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our lead technicians are certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) — the industry standard your insurance adjuster will ask about. We operate as a Restoration 1 franchise, which means we complete the brand's national training program covering IICRC S500 water-loss standards, Xactimate estimating, insurance-claim documentation, and customer-care protocols. Restoration 1 has 250+ locations nationwide, so we benefit from a constantly updated playbook rather than figuring things out alone. We carry $2M general liability and full workers' comp insurance.
