FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
An introductory call (about 20-25 minutes) is free. You are not required to commit to a certain number of hours. We can work with you as many or as few hours as are needed. Discounts may be available when purchasing a block of hours (5+ hours).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This depends on what the parent/student are looking for. 1) If they are still in the college search process, then after the introductory call, I typically meet with the parents one on one for about an hour to fully understand their parameters and provide insight into the college admissions process. Then I meet with the student for about an hour to better understand their strengths, and learn more about what they wish to get out of the college experience. I work with the student and family over time to help them fill out their safety, target and reach schools, advise them on course selection when needed and in the long term, help them brainstorm essays and provide essay review. 2) If they are only looking for essay review, I can provide feedback on an hourly basis. Essay review is an iterative process. 3) I can also help them prep for interviews.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am graduate of Harvard (undergraduate) and SMU (MBA). I have been a volunteer interviewer for my college. I have worked in corporate America in Marketing roles, and been a small business owner of a marketing consulting company (LLC) since 2013. Over the past several years, I've focused on copywriting for multiple industries and in 2023, I began the college search process in earnest for my own child. I learned how to research and evaluate college fit and toured a number of colleges across the U.S. In 2025, I added college consulting to my business and have used my experience as a copywriter to help students brainstorm and find their authentic voice. I'm committed to following high ethical standards and will never write essays for a student. I can however, help them stretch their thinking to help them more clearly and passionately tell their own story.
