We hired Ryan with Odontus Creations to redo senior photos due to the poor quality and terrible experience with the previous photographer. All I can say is WOW. The photos are lifelong memories and absolutely beautiful. He has a great eye for capturing the moment and emotion. Highly recommend!

Well... I'm giving Odontus Photography 5 stars. Their photographer/video guy got some excellent coverage at my company's 10th anniversary party. He arrived twenty minutes before our guests and was set up and introducing himself to everyone with a smile. I’d give him five stars, but there were some changing lighting issues with our stage that yielded a few images too dark or light, but with 8 out of 146 pictures being ‘black sheep’, we’re quite happy with the results!

Steve had a FUN bunch of party-goers and they ALL made for some FUN photos. The live band they hired had some unexpected concert-style lighting effects, but I still captured far more great images than Steve had expected. I hope I get more customers like him!

Ryan took some excellent pictures of my newly-renovated Airbnb and helped book it for the next five months. The lighting was poor when he took the pics (our power was out when I booked his services), but he brought his own lighting equipment and brought out the charm in every room!
After taking nearly 80 photos, he went over them with me so that I could select which ones to use in my ad, then provided not only the 20 edited prints, but the remaining 'scrap' pics within 48 hours and made me a great deal for such nice work.
I recommend this guy for EXCELLENT real estate photography!

We used this company to cover a graduation party for our daughter. Ryan arrived on time and is a polite person. However I had to ask him multiple times to walk around and take pictures of our guests and in general cover the event. At least twice I had to search for him and I believe there was some trouble with his camera. I still hoped that he got some good shots for our memories and unfortunately am sorely disappointed. The composition of images made no sense and almost all of them are out of focus. Even pictures of food and decorations were sub par. We made the mistake of not taking some photos using our phones because that would have at least given us some good ones for posterity. As it is, this is my first negative review on a Thumbtack hire.

Thank you for the review. Its disappointing to read that you were not satisified with the craftmanship of the lead photographer.
I spoke with Ryan in detail upon seeing your review. He indicated the party was originally to be outdoors, near the pool area, but wasn't possible due to the unpredictable Texas weather. There were approximately 40 people within the living area of the home which made it more challenging. Despite that, he did mingle amongst the guests and secured some great candid shots of guests. It may have appeared to you that you had to "search" for him but the point was for him to be unseen in order to capture all the moments of your daughter's party. Our apologies if that was not what you expected.
In this type of environment, you will inevitably have some photos that may not appear "professional" as they are candid shots, capturing the moment. And, I know he noted that to you when sending you the photos.
Not exactly sure what your expectation was for food photography but the entire spread was captured beautifully.
There were no problems with his camera; he was taking the time to switch lenses and batteries to keep the shots coming.
Perhaps the next time you hire a photographer, be clearer in what your expectations are for the composition of the photos, allow early entry to secure the ideal shots of food, deco, etc. I'm certain this would have resulted in photos that were more in line with your expectations.
