I have been a long-time supporter and friend of Heather Parks and New Song Music Studio and have always been impressed with the high caliber of music instruction and professionalism. So there was no question where my daughters would receive music instruction. Heather has the unique ability to draw out the personal motivators from each individual student, learning what will inspire them to not only learn music, but to learn to LOVE music! I've been involved with music (piano & voice) since the age of 7 and only wish that I had this caliber of instruction available! We are amazed at our daughters progress in less than 4 years! This is what sets Heather, and all the instructors at NSMS apart from the rest!

We are so lucky to have found New Song Music Studio for my daughter's piano education. My daughter started learning the piano with Heather soon after she turned 5, and she has learned some great discipline in the practice of piano in the past 4 years. Heather is not only a great musician, she's a very dedicated teacher who is extremely organized and well planned. The Spring and Winter Piano Recitals that New Song Music Studio puts together are unlike any other I have seen in the area (having been to several of my daughter's friends' piano recitals). Heather expects the same sort of dedication from her students as she offers them. She has the highest expectations and I love how she keeps the parents involved and in the know and gives constant feedback. NSMS Admin is extremely courteous and prompt with any communication and extremely flexible with trying to schedule makeup lessons. Heather goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. My daughter's dream is to graduate as Heather's student extraordinaire when she graduates High School.

As a mother of 4 grown kids, when I think of all of their teachers, coaches, instructors, etc. throughout their lives - who stood out or made a difference? I can honestly say that I cannot count them on one hand (yes I am extremely picky)! I will say however, that Heather Parks is number one!!Heather was my daughter's 4th piano teacher and taught her for 8 years. I have nothing but praise for Heather as a person and a teacher. Heather loves what she does and loves each and every student she works with. This is something that not only the parent can see but the student feels with her. She has a way of nurturing them and making them feel loved all while challenging them with high expectations and never letting them slack off. She pushed, inspired and motivated my daughter in a way that I have never seen before. Her teaching did not end at the studio - she would text or call my daughter randomly through the weeks asking "how she was doing on a piece"? A perfect balance of personal and professional - I truly considered Heather a gift from God. I attribute my daughter's creativity, dedication and success in the performing arts to Heather Parks. The one thing that sets Heather apart from everyone else is this: she puts the care and needs of her student first before her business. My daughter loved all Performing arts and Heather convinced her to audition for BTWHSPA in Dallas which as a result (due to proximity) meant losing her as a student. This is RARE and exemplifies so much more than her teaching abilities but who she is as a person. Never EVER under estimate the power of a great teacher!!! I have no doubt that someday when my girl makes it on Broadway - she will stand up and thank her piano teacher!

We clicked from the very beginning. Your sweet girl is a rising star and has already accomplished so much. She captured nearly every trophy, award, ribbon, and certificate that the studio had to offer. I always looked forward to her coming to lessons. She is missed.
