I have been going to the kandy shop for almost 4 years now and yes i followed my artist there but once I got into the building knowing that i didnt know anyone and they make you feel right at home. If you follow OGPOPPY@INSTAGRAM.com then you can see all the appreciation that the shop shows to its fellow clients. I mean really how many tattoo shops can you go to and get $20 big ass tattoos, or $1 piercings, hell where can you even go get your ink/piercing and if anything goes wrong then you come back and see them and they handle it right away. You cant beat going to da kandy shop to get ya ink up. I definitely advise newbies to try also because they are awesome with making you want to come back for more. DONT FORGET TO TRY THE ORGANIC TATTOOS TOO!!!!

This place is horrible... You get what you pay for. Cheap tattoos. And bad quality. I would be ashamed to promote that shop. O.G Poppy is in denial. So Ghetto and unprofessional. Wtf organic tattoos. Wow

I follow OG Poppy as well as Da Kandy Shop on Instagram. They always have specials for tattoos & piercings. I took advantage of the $1 piercing special last night (10/01). I was able to get 2 piercings for $16!!! The artist was very polite; he did not talk much as he was more into business which is understandable. My nerves were shot when I walked in but I walked admiring the work!! OG I'll definitely be back to see you & your team! #kudos #salute #muchlove

Sometime in 2011 I believe I let OG Poppy tat "Trust no one but god" with an angel on a cloud for me and it looks horrible the trust no is extremely small n the rest is big. You can barely see the angels face she looks bad n her wings are a mess...I no longer trust this shop or at least that particular artist to tat me anymore!

i stand by my work and my real clients know to hit me up if anything doesn't come out right or heals funny..I GOT YOU... but to jump on a page and not even be sure that i actually did the tattoo is not fair..just come back to me

Very unprofessional all they tell you to do us text og even though the appointment was had beeb already made. He never texts back or calls . Poor rep if you can't even pick up ya phone for a 500 /640 tattoo why'd I let you work on me
    Og P. Jul 27, 2014

sorry my cell is TEXT only for clients to send me their ideas and set apps..OR text me to get shop number where you can speak to my receptionist...but that doesn't warrant a negative "offsite review" calling me or us unprofessional... wow where am i

im not the type to write bad reviews about places actually i never wrote one but im really dissapointed...so my cousin used to work at da kandy shop but he now has his own shop. i could of just went to him to get my tattoo at that my first tattoo my bbygirls name but i decided to go to da kandy shop and i was just so not satisfied with the work he did charged me for two names but i only choose to get one and go later on in the week to get the second but i got no recipt stateing how much i paid and he did give me his number for me to txt him to set up a date to go back and i have txted him and no answer then i decided to go to the shop and ask for him and all they said was "oh naw hes not here you just probly gonna have to come back monday and see if hes here" i was pretty disappointed because i was really looking forward to getting my kids names. So you can basically say i paid 120 for an unfinished name...when i should have two names and birthdays tattooed on me. And it Might Have just been my luck with that tattoo artist but one person can sometimes ruin it for the whole shop sadly.

We have let artist go for this type of behavior the kandy shop strives for the best possible experience and we agree one artist can mess it up but not for the whole shop just for themselves as we have awesome new artist who stand behind their work and don't overcharge clients 120$ for just 2 names is just not what we're about

How did you get started doing this type of work?
there wasnt anything else out there like da kandy shop so i created it,watched it grow into the amazing safe place for artist to be themselves
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
dont eat in a empty restaurant..(( meaning )) go where its packed and people are having fun, having a creative environment really gets artist juices flowing
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
when you bring in a design give me or the artist a little room to put our own style or spin on the piece
