Let me start by saying great job Derek, Tony, and the rest of the guys! I had received quotes from other companies including the big box stores, and then found Derek at Patch Me Paint Me on Thumbtack. Derek was not only reasonable with pricing but prompt. I spoke with Derek on Friday, the job began on Monday. Derek was there, leading the charge, and then left, with his highly competent team of professionals continuing on. I had my kitchen tile replaced, and baseboards replaced and upgraded to my downstairs area in the house. We had normal bumps along the way, during the clean up phase. Derek quickly remedied with quality measures, and unsurpassed attention to detail. His team fixed the little things (believe me when I say little), infact I told Derek to not bother with them, and he stated "We don't leave until the job is done and perfect". Two of my neighbors saw the work done in my home, and have called Derek already. I can't say enough good things about Derek and his staff. He is a family man who believes in building his business by honesty, fairness, and word of mouth. If you need something done don't hesitate, don't call anyone else....CALL DEREK. Found Him on thumbtack along with a few others. He was the only one who picked up the phone and answered it. Made it to the property for the estimate on time, took photos, and reported back to me the exact situation of our shower remodel due to water damage. He sent me a written quote that was very competitive and in one case 1/3 the price! Seriously! Once we agreed, then things just got better. I asked him to make it a bit more modern. So he went tile shopping and sent a few photos of samples and accents. We talked on the phone. The tile he selected was a black subway tile—had to be black to go with existing tile. While subway tile has been overdone the last few years, he ran it vertically! Wow! Just an amazing look. Additionally, during the quoting process, he kept me informed about keeping it to code and explained what had to go and why and what he would be replacing it with. Most importantly, he explained the various costs and why there were cost differences in the material. He arranged for the new frameless glass shower, which also just added a finial touch to make it look amazing. The whole time he was professional, on time, and most of very concerned about staying on budget. I just wished I live there. See I’m in Austin and the Property was in The DFW area. Everything had to be by phone and photos. All while working around the renters schedule. He is officially on my speed dial. Would hire him again with out hesitation.

They arrived on time and finished up on the same day. They did great work and installed the kitchen backsplash to my wifes satisfaction, cleaned up inside & out. Will use them again if i need tofor other projects.

Finally, a contractor that actually showed up when they said they would. The crew was on time and the work was performed with an outstanding attention to detail. The best part of all was I didn’t have to clean up after them like our contractors I used in the past.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We always strive to be fair with our pricing. That being said, we price projects so we can do them correctly the first time on budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to meet customers in person to get a full scope of exactly what they are needing. Once a true project scope is settled, we provide a detailed proposal to the customer. Once pricing is agreed upon, we schedule the project for completion. Once the project is completed, a final walk is scheduled to review the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
OSHA training courses, weekly project safety meetings
