Exceptional photos. Captured the very best attributes of my buildings - these photos present super effectively - more than just a presentation. This photographer has aesthetic sensibilities and really knows how to photograph a property. Even the right time of day to create the best colors, etc. There are a lot of photographers - but THIS IS THE GUY TO USE.

He was very quick to respond and was able to get my photos to me with a day even with a two-hour travel time one way. Drone and ground photos looked great! Would recommend!

Was a great shoot, was quick, and alot of fun. Helped me try new looks and techniques. Kept me involved with every change and idea he had. Even allowed me to see the different programs he was using so i understood what was going on. Made me feel really comfortable, cant wait for our next shoot.

I hired Darryl Barksdale to do an outdoor Boudoir shoot for me. He was very accommodating and drove several hours to my location yet charging me a very low fee. He gave me as long as we had daylight to get the pictures done. He was very kind and respectful and definitely knew what he was doing. The photos are fantastic quality. Overall it was a good experience. My only complaint is that he was about 2 1/2 hours later than our scheduled time which was partially due to the fact he had a very long drive, I know.
Barksdale Photography's reply
Melissa was a joy to work with, and she's absolutely justified in dinging us for being late... but here's "the rest of the story." :)
We booked this session in Jan of 2017, even though it wasn't to happen until May or June. In the intervening months, we purchased a studio in Salt Lake City, UT and moved there... the session location was more than an hour Northeast of Boise, in the mountains.
When the morning of the session came, and I realized where it was, instead of calling and cancelling like most other photographers would have done, I chose instead to pack up the Expedition, and drove 7 hours to fulfill my commitment to my client... and yes, I was late... the freeway was completely shut down in Clearfield, UT for a bad accident, which delayed me even more.
I finally arrived, however, had a very delightful shoot, and then drove 3 more hours back to Twin Falls that night.
I had my clients images fully edited, delivered, and posted on our website in color, B&W, and sepia tone... within 3-4 days of the shoot. The fee didn't even cover the cost of gas... but we made a commitment to a client... and that's all that mattered.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, basic commercial services are billed out at $280/hour plus expenses. Architectural and food work bill out at 1/2 Day and Full Day rates plus expenses. All other projects are billed at our $280/hour rate, with a 2-hour minimum.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The basis of any good business relationship is communication and honesty. We take the time to sit down with our clients, and really listen to what their requirements and expectations are. We then honestly assess the information we've been given, and provide price estimates and suggestions based on that information.
As we proceed through the course of a project, we clearly communicate any issues, concerns, or challenges that arise so that they can be handled quickly and effectively.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a full-time professional photographer for over 45 years, with thousands of satisfied clients, and a rich portfolio of national-quality work.
