Dalai has been INCREDIBLE to work with! I reached out to two other HVAC companies with no response before I found Astronaut Cooling. Dalai was able to schedule my service very quickly. He is very kind, very professional, and fixes what needs to be fixed without any pressure or upselling. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in clear, straightforward pricing. Our standard service call is $99 and includes a professional evaluation of your HVAC system. Maintenance visits start at $149 plus $99 per additional system. We explain the problem, available options, and pricing before completing repairs so there are no surprises. We also offer a 5% discount for cash or check payments.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by listening to what the customer is experiencing and gathering information about the system. Once on site, we perform a thorough evaluation rather than simply guessing based on symptoms. We explain what we find, discuss the available repair or replacement options, and answer any questions before moving forward. Our goal is to provide customers all of the information needed to make a confident decision without unnecessary pressure.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our owner has more than a dozen years of hands on HVAC experience with residential and commercial equipment. His background includes service, diagnostics, system installation, refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and technical instruction. He has also taught HVAC professionally at Austin Community College, which means explaining complicated systems in a clear and understandable way is an important part of how we work with customers.
