Introduction: My work experience includes graphic design, where I have worked for variety of industries including Playbill, fashion, and high-end ranch and land real estate magazines; environmental signage and nonprofit. With 15 years of graphic design experience in magazine and agency environments I work well under pressure and am familiar with clients needs. Previously, I worked in the sign industry for almost 4 years, I am familiar with sign making techniques such as vinyl and how they are applied to stone, sign foam, Plexiglas and glass. I have also worked with etching and silk screening.
I graduated with honors from The Art Institute of Houston and held an internship with Easterly & Company (now Easterly) during and after my graduation. I started my career at Papercity Magazine, learning the ropes in the very fast paced fashion industry, then was hired on at Farm & Ranch Publishing were I learned even more about client relationships and lowered our quarterly cost by bringing in-house our previously out-sourced high resolution scanning. Then I moved to the signage industry, which stating out I knew very little about, but soon flourish and within few years won a number of awards for my designs, including Texas Sign Association, Pillars of the Industry Finalist, and having my design on the cover of Sign of the Times Magazine. Most recently worked for the Alley Theatre, were I design artwork for world premiere, Tony Award nominated/winning and Pulitzer Prize nominated/winning plays, along with designing 11-12 issues of Playbill magazine per year. My other responsibilities are working with other departments to design logos, brochures, letterhead packages and event invitations.
