My oldest daughter has been taking lessons at Creekwood for 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier. She was so timid when she started, and Laurel (owner and head trainer) has known just when to push Anna and when to let her take her time. She's so much more confident now, not just in her riding ability. The atmosphere at the barn is really relaxed and laid back. You can tell that the happiness and health of both the horses and the girls who ride there are Laurel's #1 priority. There's zero snobbery and there's a great camaraderie: the girls aren't overly competitive toward each other. This summer, my younger daughter stated taking lessons with Abbey, who offers private lessons to all beginners until they've acquired the skills to join one of Laurel's group lessons. It's fantastic to have one-on-one attention with your horse while you're just starting out. Creekwood's lesson and lease prices are extremely reasonable as well. I wouldn't have my daughters ride anywhere else.
