I had been trying for a year to find a home for my German Shepherd, Lando, who has dog aggression issues - with no luck. I had also tried to find a trainer for him for a reasonable price who could help him socialize - again with no luck. Finally, I reached out to K9 Mastery - very last minute because I needed to re-home Lando prior to my move. I heard back from Corey within about 24 hours, and we had a great email convo about Lando’s issues, and that’s when I realized that Corey has a very special knowledge and ability with dogs. Our subsequent phone conversation only confirmed that! He explained that Lando would need to be socialized to the rules of the family - his “pack” - and would need both time and the main people in his family to be involved. That’s when I decided to offer to pay for Lando to be trained with his adoptive family, because though I could’ve done it with him, I could see that it was more important that he knew the rules with his new family. I asked Corey to help me find a family through his connections - and wow!! He found an AMAZING couple who already had a dog, but were willing to give Lando a try. We arranged to meet to see if Lando would be a good fit, and Corey came to help out and to assess Lando. Let me just say, I was BLOWN AWAY, by Corey’s skill with Lando!! BLOWN. AWAY. It literally took him about 30 minutes to move Lando from aggressively biting at the other dog to being able to walk calmly next to her around the park, and then sit quietly and totally relaxed while she stood and looked at him about 3 feet away! He was also able to prepare Lando to go home with his new family, just an hour later, with the other dog in the car! Corey then made plans to go to the family’s house that evening and work with Lando some more. You have no idea how happy I was that Lando was in such wonderful hands! Took a massive load off my mind and heart! Up until that moment, I was facing the crushing possibility that I would have to take Lando to a rescue - and then Corey rescued him, and ME! lol! Good gracious, what a HUGE RELIEF that was! I’m so grateful to Corey for taking the time to educate me about what Lando needed, and to the family that was willing to take a chance on my sweet dog. Lando is literally about to live his best life, and I’m so happy for him! And I can honestly say this: choosing Corey to work with Lando was one of the BEST decisions - easily one of the top 10 - I’ve ever made. Thank you Corey!! 🙏🏽

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Simply because of my love for dogs and my desire to help others. I have been there myself. I understand needing help and feeling hopeless. No dog is beyond hope.
