I bring over 20 years of flute teaching experience and a rich musical background that includes growing up in NYC, attending a specialized music high school, studying at The Juilliard School, and performing throughout Europe. I am a Texas Certified Teacher and Kodály-trained educator, with a special focus on young beginners and middle school students, though I enjoy working with students of all ages and levels.

Jessica is an amazing instructor! At first I was apprehensive in having a virtual instructor for my 8 year old. I wasn't sure if my child would receive the proper instruction without that in person touch. I'm happy to say that Jessica knows what she is doing! I'm extremely happy with this virtual lesson. My daughter loves her Flutelessons and looks forward to it each week! When it comes to Jessica and her teaching style, she finds a way to make the lesson fun and enjoyable! I would recommend Jessica 10 out of 10 times to anyone!

Jessica did a wonderful job helping me prepare to perform for my grandmother’s memorial service, after I had not practiced for over 5 years. She sent me warm-up material and sheet music before my lesson. She was quick to answer any questions I had before and after our lesson. She provided great feedback during the lesson and helped me gain confidence in my ability to play the flute. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Jessica.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $70/hour, but I am willing to work on a sliding scale for highly motivated students who may not be able to afford the full price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will have a phone conversation to discuss the goals of the student and create a plan to make them happen. I will ask about the musical background of a student, recommend some work to start with and talk about my expectations for lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in flute performance. I studied at conservatories of music, including the Juilliard School in New York City. Teachers I have studied with include Bernard Goldberg of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Susan Palma-Nidel of Orpheus of NYC, masterclasses with William Bennett, Robert Dick and faculty of the Conservatorio di Musica “G. Verdi” in Milan, Italy.
