FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m always up front about price. Some jobs are just a labor minimum plus an hourly rate. Larger jobs need a fixed price outlined with how much deposit, progress payments and when balance needs to be paid. I do give discounts to Veterans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Introducing them to what I do and when I’m available to work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a retired contractor. I have training in carpentry starting from a very young age. My father was an remodeling contractor for over thirty years in Arizona. My brothers and I all worked for him for many years. I also trained in the USN as a pipe fitter, sheet metal worker and welder. I worked as a flooring installer for awhile after high school. I bought houses in Oregon for the purpose of remodeling them and reselling. I worked in various stages of carpentry, from rough frame to finish (trim). I have extensive experience in drywall repair.
