Chef Johnson and his team are equipped to cater private events for 2-200 people in your home or at your venue of choice. We specialize in personalized menus, menu development and beverage pairings. Our slogan is "have knives will travel", we've done events locally, Austin, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and as far as Wichita Falls. We will go anywhere in the great state of Texas!

A review that is long overdue!.. A most sincere thank you to Monster Food Stuff for a truly wonderful evening that very quickly planted itself as an unforgettable memory in our family's minds. I hired MFS to cook and cater for our parents 50th Anniversary. I was born in Houston, however I have been living in Europe the last 16 years. I'm a choreographer/director/foodie. Being that I love food and work a lot with people/crowds, timing and spacial organization I felt I took a risk by choosing a "random" chef from a website (thumbtack) I had never heard of for our parents Anniversary. Everything was just perfect! The food was great. The personalized menu was a refined and unexpected detail. The presentation of the plates was beautiful. The selection of Cheese,wines,and bubbly was spot on and the overall professionalism and ease of our chef matched with his down to earth manner was refreshing. It had all the elegance and taste but without the pretentiousness that one might find when hiring a personal chef. I had already organized my own cookware,linens, and cutlery so I can not comment on MFS's items, however basing it off of the overall aesthetics and quality we experienced Im sure it is fine. Thank you again Monster Food Stuff!

I have had the opportunity to sample the food from this company and it does NOT disappoint! Travis has a gift in knowing which foods to pair with which beverages.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to have many a meal prepared by Chef Johnson and none have ever failed to impress. Travis’s ability to pick and choose the appropriate ingredients and spices to compliment one another, yet not overpower is nothing short of monsterlicious. The presentation alone will have you drooling. The first bite will make you anxious for the second, and the last bite...wanting more. Whether I was planning on hosting an intimate dinner party or a large wedding reception, I wouldn’t hesitate to to reach out to Monster Food Stuff... and you shouldn’t either.

We base our pricing on an industry standard due to cost of food and/or beverages and hourly rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once contacted, I will work closely with you to design a menu and/or beverage list that are perfect for your palate
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a chef that has been not only in the kitchen, but, in the food and beverage industry for over two decades, I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people. Such as a Certified Master Chef, an Iron Chef and a Master Sommelier. -Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Institute of America (CIA) -Certified Beer Server, Cicerone Certification Program -TABC Certified -ServSafe Certified -Completion of 8 week advanced wines course through CIA
