All Ages
I have students as young as 5 and students who are retired and take lessons as a hobby. Parents are welcome to attend or record the lessons anytime. I have designed special lessons for children, teens, and adults.
All Styles
I can teach classical, fingerstyle, folk, country, acoustic, rock, pop, and more. Classical. Acoustic. Electric. Students learn great technique, how to read music, guitar theory, and how to play their favorite songs or pieces!
All Levels
I teach all levels. Beginners are welcome!
Affordable Rates with Flexible Payment Plans
I charge a flat rate fee so you only pay $100 per month (this is far less than the going rate for a conservatory graduate). So you or your child will receive a 1/2 hour lesson every week of the month for that flat rate. I don't charge for extra weeks in the month, and you can pay weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Teaching Materials Provided
No need to buy books! I provide you with all the teaching materials that you need.

We just started lessons, but I really love her patient approach to instructing. In just a couple of lessons, I can already tell that Sylvie's guidance is making a positive difference in my ability to play guitar as an older beginner with years of accumulated bad habits. I am happy to have found her and am really hopeful about being able to really play well, and soon!

Sylvie is a great teacher. I could always play by ear, but never really understood guitar. I feel like I now have a really strong foundation and I’m learning more every week. She’s always prepared and my lessons are very well done

I had the fantastic opportunity to learn from Sylvie when I was just beginning my guitar journey at 15 years old. She was kind, generous, and without a doubt as talented as she was knowledgeable with music and the guitar. After endless musical experiences, bands, concerts, awards, literal dreams realized, I can confidently say Sylvie’s teachings not only expanded my musical vocabulary and skill, but helped me use music as a tool to enhance my life and bring joy wherever I went. At age 34, becoming a guitar teacher myself, I can also say that her personalized style of teaching is paramount. Some of the best studios out there are only just catching on to teaching styles she uses, which are no nonsense concepts using music that the student already loves to listen to. If you want to realize your musical capabilities, you need to get a lesson from Sylvie!

Sylvie has been so great to work with for our daughter (online ukulele lessons). Can't recommend her enough. She's super responsive, flexible, and great with kids, even in a remote setting. Our daughter looks forward to her weekly lessons, now if we could just get her to practice in between...

Experience the first lesson free! As a graduate of a prestigious music conservatory, I offer an exceptional value for guitar lessons. Enjoy the simplicity of a flat-rate fee—just $100 per month covers all your weekly lessons. With this straightforward pricing, even if there are 5 lessons in a month (5 weeks), you won't be charged extra. That breaks down to approximately $25 per lesson, making my lessons a great value.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love getting to know new students. To kick things off, your first lesson is free! During this initial session, we'll delve into your goals, discussing what you aspire to learn and the type of music you envision playing. It's an opportunity for you to experience my teaching style at no cost. If you find the lessons enjoyable and beneficial, you can then decide if you'd like to continue. If the lesson is for your child, this gives the student a chance to get to know me in a fun way!
Flexibility is key, so we can coordinate a day and time that suits your schedule seamlessly. Whether you prefer communication by phone or email, I'll reach out to you through your preferred method. Let's embark on this musical journey together!

I hold a degree from the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where my focus was on guitar performance. With a rich musical background, I've contributed my skills to five bands and four orchestras! I have won Gold Medal Awards for songwriting as well.
My teaching expertise spans a wide spectrum, covering everything from classical guitar to acoustic and electric styles.
