Introduction: My name is Titus Overman. I'm a native Texan and grew up in Bastrop County. I served in the US Navy right out of High School as a navigator in the Iraq war. After the military, I attended the University of Texas at Austin and got my bachelor's degree in Studio Art. I am an artist and a maker at heart. I enjoy drawing and sculpting and just making things in general. I am a jack of all trades type of guy. I've worked with gold, silver, plastic, aluminum, wood, glass, etc. At one time I was a custom motorcycle builder and am also passionate about metalworking and welding. While attending college I worked as a handyman and for friends on their framing crews when I had time. I've been running Flying Hammer for the past 3 years. I am a highly skilled carpenter, welder and project manager. We have a small team of people that I run. We do all of the framing and finish carpentry and welding in house. For tile, masonry, larger painting projects, drywall, countertops, electrical, and plumbing we have trusted subcontractors that I've known for several years.

Titus and I met at my place, I showed him an antique Japanese wood bench that had a huge bleach stain (family accident). Titus suggested a couple of things he would study at his home woodworking shop. We agreed to a fair price. He brought it by today, a couple of weeks later, and it is STUNNING. In true Japanese tradition, the repair made the piece lovelier. Titus made a bevel to get rid of the chlorine damaged wood. He refinished the piece and reattached the legs with modern screws. The beauty of the teakwood is back, better than ever. If you have a wood object that is dear to you, you can trust Titus with it. Only a skilled wood craftsman can make these sort of judgement calls and do such beautiful work. I’m grateful for meeting him and for his work. I trust Titus.
