I am writing this while looking at my new, beautiful deck! I have already recommended Adam to friends who are considering a deck remodel, so wanted to give him a thorough shout-out here as well. From our very first meeting, I could tell that Adam would be great to work with. He was respectful, clearly paid attention to detail, and his bid was very reasonable. He responded quickly to all of my messages (which were frequent in the beginning as we were deciding on deck boards!), and always kept me apprised of when he would be coming to start the work, when the boards would be delivered, when he had to delay because of rain etc. I cannot say enough positive things about Adam’s workmanship. He clearly takes pride in creating something beautiful and well designed - even when it creates extra work for him. At the beginning of the project when we originally met, he was only going to replace the deck boards, facia and railing. However, after he started our project, we discovered that the staircase underneath our original boards was rotting. No problem, he said. I’ll build you a staircase - and when he did it, he evened out our steps so that it would be up to code (the original structure had only a half-step at the end). Also, after we got into the project, he suggested (even though it would require reordering some materials) that we add a picture frame to the deck and accents to the staircase to elevate the look. He charged me nothing on top of his original bid for this added work, and as you can tell from the pictures, it truly turned out beautifully with the contrasting colors. Adam is also just a nice person. He was GREAT with my kids, always explaining the work and letting them watch the process, which I know is not a given!! I am SO HAPPY with our deck and am grateful that we were able to work with Adam.
