Devon texted that he would arrive about 10 minutes early. He quickly checked all of the obvious safety switches and wiring for why my JD GT 245 wouldn’t start. He then traced the wiring from the circuit board to the driver seat switch and found 3 wires continued to the cruise control safety switch by the transaxle fluid reservoir. He found the 3 wires were connected but the bracket holding the switch had slipped down so it didn’t engage when the cruise control handle was in the off position. He moved the bracket back up and tightened the bolt to hold it. The tractor then started normally. It took him about 20 minutes to diagnose an obscure problem that I couldn’t identify for in a month. I highly recommend Devon to others.
