- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate of $1.00 per audio minute. This way you know exactly what your project will cost. It can take anywhere from 2-4 hours or more to transcribe one hour of audio. This will depend on the quality and content of your audio.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been transcribing in a professional setting for 25+ years. I cane into freelance transcription 7 years ago when I stumbled across Elance and decided to give it a try. Wow I have been so blessed! I have some amazing transcription clients and have worked on some amazing projects over the years, including 3 documentaries which aired on ABC.
