Introduction: Few speakers speak with more passion and connect more easily with their audience than I do. My top priority is always to help people and organizations tap into their full potential so they can achieve unparalleled success. More succinctly...I light people on fire and get organizations refocused on the power of teamwork. I most often speak on the following topics: Leadership, The Power of Beliefs (Moving from Limitation to Abundance), Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution, Trust, Understanding Human Behavior, Emotional Intelligence, and Extraordinary Customer Service. What makes me unique is always custom tailor all speeches to the needs of the customer. I connect via a phone call or video call with clients to ask questions and gain clarity of conference or event themes and team needs. In the spirit of transparency, although the dates of my last reviews on thumbtack are several years old it in no way is indicative of how often I speak on a weekly or monthly basis. I've been speaking regularly since 2015 but was primarily receiving speaking engagements through my website and other referral sources. I've shared the stage with John C. Maxwell, Paul Martinelli, and Nick Vujicic. The largest audience I've spoken in front of was 2,100 plus, but I speak to groups of 5 or more in an office setting, seminars, retreats, and conferences across the U.S. and abroad. Wow! If you haven't heard Jay Johnson speak from the stage you are missing out. I attended an event last week and heard him speak to 130 plus business leaders, educators and sales professionals on the topic of Servant Leadership. His passion for helping others grow personally and professionally was evident. I've heard Jay Johnson deliver keynote speeches on numerous occasions and he always over delivers He is a gifted speaker with a knack for utilizing stories to convey key points. I recently saw Jay speak at a Leadership Conference and he was outstanding. One of the things that stood out to me was his point that in life there are lifters and there are leaners. Based on what I observed leading up to the event and through his speech...Jay is a lifter. He shows deep respect for others and leaves those in attendance aware of their own significance and importance. Jay's use of personal stories and well known movie clips help him connect with his audience and reinforce his message. One other aspect - Jay was integral in the planning and execution of the event I attended. He and his team paid attention to the smallest of details that in the end resulted in one of the most well organized, value added events I've been to in years. Congratulations Jay! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a general pricing range that is hourly based, but is always dependent on what specifically the needs are of the customer. Some training activities require supplies and support material, which must be factored into the cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to meet in person or over a phone or video call to conduct a needs assessment. I seek to understand my client's needs and what it is they aspire to achieve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mentored and trained on a recurring basis by John Maxwell and his core faculty. I'm a certified coach through the John Maxwell Team. My training background is extensive, spanning 30 plus years in government and the private sector. I hold a certification as a trainer in the Model of Human Behavior and in Change Management. I've led teams all over the world, and I've delivered speaking and training services in seven (7) countries, as well as at sea on a cruise ship. My undergraduate degree is a B.AA.S. in Behavioral Analysis and Sociology, and my graduate degree is a Master's in Adult Education.
