Introduction: Profile: Schneider Machine and Welding is family-owned and operated, and has been in business since 1963. We are located in Columbus, Texas just 70 miles west of Houston on Hwy 90/I-10 with easy access. Owner Henry Schneider has operated the business since 1991. He and his son Will Schneider have experience as structural steel fitters/fabricators/erectors. They are capable of handling the layout and fitting of structural steel, plate, tube, angle, etc. as well as welding, grinding, machining etc. Schneider Machine also carries a large inventory of structural steel, trailer hitches and trailer parts. Equipment: * 17" Swing lathe * Horizontal mill * 3 Drill presses * CNC Plasma cutting table * 35 Ton Iron worker * 60-ton Press * 12-gauge by 6-foot Box and pan brake * 13" x 18" meter Band saw * Chop saw Skills: - Reading blue prints and fitting up structural steel - Layout Designs - Use of measuring tools - Steel fabrication - Drilling, tapping, and grinding - Use of power tools - Perform welding on structural and miscellaneous stee - SMAW, FCAW, TIG  and MIG welding on stainless, carbon steel and aluminum Experience: Schneider Machine and Welding has done business locally for the farming and ranching industries, as well as, gravel pit and oil field work repairing machinery and designing and building new equipment. We have done extensive work with Stewart and Stevenson, and BAE in design and creation of steel products.
