FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a set price for tuning. We don't generally charge a mileage fee. We do clean each piano at no charge. If repairs are needed you will know before we progress. We do have times we are easily available within 24 hours, but we do international work as well and there are some times it requires a little more planning.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Very simply, we determine what the best route for the instrument. Usually that starts with a tuning or a look over. We will sit with you and determine the best cause of action and progress as determined to revitalize the instrument.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned early from a hard task master how to physically do the work. I went on to pursue a B.A. in Music from Texas Tech. Part of my education required tuning all instruments on campus and keeping them tuned (about 50 grands at that time). I went on to study with Bosendorfer, Steinway and other manufacturers to specifically be able to address issues with each manufacturer.
