I needed help to complete an odd job (installing a pool fence on a pea gravel concrete slab), so I went to my Thumbtack account to see if anybody will be available to help me. Phyllip from Alpha Group responded immediately and from that very moment all my worries went away. Not only that he offered the best price and maintained constant communication, but when he came to complete the job, I was impressed by his professionalism, punctuality, work speed and work quality. Really, I am a happy customer and I hope he will be available to help me with future jobs.

EDIT: I'm editing this review because Phyllip replied to my review. I felt it was genuine and things happen. I'm sorry for your loss Phyllip and appreciate you taking the time to respond to my review. When things are back to normal for you, I'd like the opportunity to still discuss our project with you. First off, Thumbtack has been great for us. We've hired 3 contractors on our current house renovation project. Unfortunately, Phyllip from Alpha Group Construction will not be one of them. On Thursday, Oct 7th Phyllip replied to a inquiry for concrete work and set an on-site appointment for Sunday, October 10th at 2pm. We exchanged phone numbers in case we needed to contact each other. On the morning of Sunday, October 10th I sent Phyllip a text message at 11:42am to confirm our appointment. I never heard back from him. I then reached out via a Thumbtack message at 12:19pm thinking maybe the number he gave me was typed wrong. Still didn't hear back. The property we're working on is about a 20-minute drive from where we're at but we decided to show up at 2pm just in case Phyllip lost his phone or something and still showed up. Well he never did and we never heard from him, and it's now Tuesday. So yeah, if Alpha Group Construction doesn't even have the courtesy to contact a customer that they can't make an appointment, do you really want to trust them with your project?

Great job and friendly workers. Worked consistent and quickly even in the 100 degree heat. Concrete repair (redoing dropped cracked slabs and expansion joint filling) looks great, all the neighbors were slowing down to look at what was happening at my house. Giving the crew Phyllip and john had a 5 star review was easy they were amazing !

The Prices will always Fluctuate Due to the fluctuations in materials prices right now , no prices over the phone unless site seen and pictures are provided and communication is fully met.

Proper introduction, Schedule Appointment to meet face to face and see what customer Desires, walk though options and Give my Professional opinion that my benefit the customer that they didn't see could be an option ( note: Always try to help the customer get the best job done) .
