About
Veteran Family Owned and Operated We are a small family owned boarding and training facility that has been in business since 2005. Training dogs is a long time passion for us, our goal is to make sure that all dogs coming to us for training are able to not only succeed while in our care, but also to transition easily back home with their families. Poor behavior is the #1 reason that dogs are given away or abandoned at local shelters. For this reason, we use the motto “Train for Life” and offer unlimited follow up sessions for all of our In-Board Training programs to ensure that all of our students have a home for life. We are heavily involved with dog rescue and specialize in not only training young puppies that just need some guidance, but also dogs with severe behavior issues and everything in between. We are completely committed to you, your family and most of all, your dog and providing all of the tools needed to creating a strong bond that lasts a lifetime.

Tri-County K9 Academy is incredible!! Darryl and Tammy were not only great with our two Vizslas in terms of training and caring for them while they were away at training, but they are incredible people who really stood up when it was important. Darryl is a great trainer who not only patiently and effectively works with the dogs, but also takes the time to thoroughly educate owners on his training techniques, which makes all the difference. He had the patience to deal with our two pups who, because of their breed are tough to train (high energy and short, short, short attention spans), and we could tell he and Tammy both took great care of them while they were there. Tammy was great about posting pictures and video on Facebook, which helped with missing our little ones while they were gone. In addition to great training and care, they went above and beyond what I would expect from most people these days, when we had a crisis a few days after our pups returned home. Darryl and Tammy worked tirelessly getting the word out and working Facebook to ultimately help us get our little darlings back when they were dog-napped from our backyard (whoever thought there was such a thing!). If not for them, we would never have seen our four-legged family members again. They were so kind and supportive through the whole ordeal, it felt like we had a real community when we needed it most. We are eternally grateful to these incredible people for everything they have done for us and would recommend them to everyone! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Oh, and definitely use Tri-County K9!!!! Tammy & Thomas Dunn

All I can say is OUTSTANDING JOB! My service dog, still a puppy in training, was a spaz and and I was having thoughts that she wasn't the right dog. After training, she came back totally laid back and obeyed commands. I don't know how they transformed my pup, but they did. I highly recommend Tri-County K9. You can see how good she is on her Instagram page @hopetheservicedog

Myself, my family and our pets have been customers of Tri-County K9 Academy for over 12 years. Whether our dogs are just starting obedience training, are working out for a dog trial, if we have a pet we have a behavior issue we need help with, or if I need assistance with my Service Dog, both Darryl and Tammy have been patient, excellent instructors and their daughters are great helpers. The environment at Tri-County K9 is set up to be safe, educational and rewarding for both animals and humans. They have watched over several of our dogs when we have had to leave town on short notice and we have always come home to happy, clean dogs that you can just tell had a well rounded fun time. Tri-County K9 Academy is an excellent experience for all whether you are training with your own dog, having your dog trained, adopting one of the many dogs rescued and rehabbed at Tri-County, needing boarding, or becoming a better dog owner. Tri-County K9 Academy should be your first stop for all your K9 needs.

Last year I entrusted my beloved Ginger, to Daryl and Tammy. Ginger is a Goldendoodle and had been through Puppy and Basic Obedience (at another facility) at the time Ginger was 15 months old and just needed "fine tuning" Taking Ginger to Tri County K9 Academy was the best money I have ever spent. It turns out that it was "me" that might have needed the training! Ginger spent 2 weeks at "boarding school". They were wonderful. When I picked Ginger up Daryl spent time with me going over key points of her training and took the time to explain to me how to continue the training so that Ginger would continue to be the well behaved and a successful family member. Daryl also encouraged me to call them if I had any questions. Joan L.
