I’m going to be honest before I met Geno Miller, this whole roofing situation left a bad taste in my mouth.
My home needed repairs to meet current code requirements and to keep my homeowners insurance intact. Not cosmetic work. Not “wait until later” work. Real, necessary updates. But I was not in a position to do a full tear-off replacement and I was upfront about that from the beginning.
I reached out to multiple contractors through Thumbtack hoping for guidance. (All had hundreds of reviews and years of experience) Instead, I was met with dismissiveness. Some barely listened. Others minimized the issues. A few made it clear without saying it outright that they had already sized me up, my neighborhood up, and decided what I could or couldn’t afford. The conversation wasn’t about what my home needed. It was about what they wanted to sell.
Every solution was the same: “Full replacement.” No explanation. No breakdown. No attempt to explore code-compliant repairs. Just pressure.

After two unsuccessful attempts with another company, I decided to hire a real professional through thumbtack and that I exactly did! I contacted Geno and he was quick to reply. I had told him the situation and he made it super easy to set up an appointment. Geno and his team came out the very next day and was quick to find the leak and the source of it as well. Geno did an amazing job explaining to me what the last company did that I hired and why their “repairs” failed as well as what actually needed to be done and ensured me that it would be repaired correctly the first time. he also did an excellent job on answering any questions or concerns I had at that time as well, Geno and his crew are true professionals, and take pride and what they do, they don’t just care about the business, but the actual customer too which is rare nowadays.
