FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to shoot and then do some basic editing, including leveling the horizon line and cropping. I prefer to have a set price to cover the shooting time, then provide a jumpdrive or digital download through Smug, which can allow the client to print through my site or on their own. That allows for me to hand over the images and rights to you. Then you can print when you are ready and where your budget allows. This keeps me from having to buy an expensive printer and allows the customer the freedom to order from anyone at anytime.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I submit a bid, I know that I can provide what they want, within their schedule and on their budget. It takes a conversation or a few emails to solidify that we are on the same page. We can work out specific time and locations based off that individual's time frame and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent this past school year going back to black and white film and wet darkroom with high school students by teaching Photo I. It is like I never left the darkroom. Film or digital, you must know how the camera works. I am working on social networking skills and other avenues that are technologically challenging at this point to me.
