FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always provide initial consultation for free. My fees are modest and my retainers are mid-range. I can set up flat fee arrangements for certain cases. For example, non-contested divorces can be set up on a flat fee basis. Personal injury cases are based on a contingency fee arrangement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make it really easy for my clients. I usually talk to them on the phone and send a contract along with a client information sheet by email. This material can be returned by e-mail as well. As soon as payment is received I will begin the work. On the point of how this really works, I would like anyone who reads the reviews to consider this. A client who has actually been to the court house gives me glowing reviews. While a man I choose not to represent based on his attitude on the phone writes a worthless review. His review shows that I am right, he would be a bad client. Occasionally, I get busy and don't get to return a phone call or make an initial call. If I don't call you, it is my loss since I pay for your number. However, my number is provided with each quote and my phone is free and open to all clients at all times. Please feel free to call me if I don't call you for any reason. I say all this because the one other person who wrote a review about me is again, someone that I never represented. I for whatever reason did not get a chance to call her. Keep in mind that I paid for phone number, but that I did not get a chance to call. This is my loss. She was provided with my office number at the time I purchased the quote, she could have called me at anytime and that did not occur.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate degree is from University of Tennessee and is a B.A. in Political Science. My J.D. is from the SMU Underwood Law School.
