FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in fair, transparent pricing that reflects over 30 years of professional expertise. To help you keep your instrument in top shape, I offer a loyalty discount: all returning customers receive 10% off their service, provided the follow-up appointment is scheduled within one year of the previous tuning. Regular maintenance is key to a piano’s longevity, and I’m happy to reward clients who care for their instruments consistently.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, my first step is always a comprehensive assessment. Many of my first-time customers have instruments that haven't been serviced in 10, 20, or even more years, or they’ve recently purchased a used piano in neglected condition. In these cases, a simple tuning is often not enough. My process typically includes: - Deep Cleaning: Removing decades of dust and debris. - Action Regulation: Fixing dried-out or sluggish mechanisms. - Pitch Raising: Bringing the instrument back to standard pitch (A440) if it has dropped significantly over time. While the initial restoration requires a larger investment of time and resources, it sets a solid foundation for the future. Once the piano is stabilized, regular annual service becomes much simpler and more affordable. Plus, as a reward for keeping your instrument in peak condition, I offer a 10% loyalty discount for all clients who schedule their follow-up service within one year.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My journey with music began at the age of 10 and has never stopped. I received a rigorous classical foundation through specialized Music School, where I performed in children's choirs, folk instrument orchestras, and variety/pop orchestras. I later graduated from Music College with a degree in Music Theory. This academic background gives me a profound understanding of harmony, acoustics, and the structural integrity of the piano. Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in diverse musical projects, including professional music composition, arranging, and sound engineering. Because I am a musician and composer myself, I don't just tune strings—I listen to the piano as an artist. My 30+ years of technical experience, combined with this lifelong musical immersion, allow me to provide a level of service that ensures your instrument doesn't just play notes, but truly sings.
