What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the size of the load and the total weight of the load, or I charge by the item if it’s a small job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use my people skills to find out the type of person that the client is, but I treat everyone with respect. I really like doing in person estimates so I can get a real life view of the load, and so I don’t over/ under price a job.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started this company because I was working out of state for a year doing electrical work. Being on the road for 3 months and coming home for 1.5 weeks at a time just wasn’t it. Being with my family is important. I’ve always liked working with my hands and loved being in the trades so that’s how I started doing junk removal.
