FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At 1Chimney & Air Duct Cleaning, we believe customers should understand pricing before work begins. Standard full-system air duct cleaning is generally $0.50 per conditioned square foot + tax, rather than arbitrary per-register pricing. Standard chimney sweep/cleaning with Level 1 inspection is generally $249 + tax, and gas fireplace service/diagnostic appointments generally start at $175 + tax. Because gas-lit fireplace repair is one of our DFW specialty niches, final repair pricing may vary based on the valve, pilot assembly, ignition system, control module, remote, burner, gas log setup, manufacturer, and required parts. Multiple HVAC systems, severe contamination, difficult access, specialty ductwork, commercial properties, or mold-related HVAC concerns may also require custom pricing. For applicable services, customers can visit our website and use our EZ BOOK system to view current online pricing, available appointment dates, and arrival windows. We also offer approved bundle savings and promotions when available. No bait-and-switch pricing or unnecessary upselling.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by identifying the actual problem. Whether you need air duct cleaning, chimney sweeping, dryer vent cleaning, gas fireplace repair, fireplace diagnostics, or help with an HVAC contamination concern, we review the details and recommend the correct service. For gas-lit fireplace problems, we typically ask what the fireplace is doing or failing to do, whether the pilot lights, whether the burner ignites, whether the wall switch or remote works, and the manufacturer/model when available. Our technicians then diagnose the system rather than simply replacing parts unnecessarily. For standard services, customers can use EZ BOOK on our website to view available pricing, choose a date, and select an arrival window. For more complex repairs, we gather the necessary information, explain the scope, and schedule the appropriate technician. Our goal is simple: find the problem, explain it clearly, and fix it correctly without unnecessary sales pressure.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our experience combines years of hands-on field service with professional training in chimney systems, fireplaces, gas fireplace diagnostics and repair, air duct cleaning, dryer vent systems, and HVAC air-distribution cleaning. We are especially experienced with gas-lit fireplaces throughout DFW, including gas valves, pilot assemblies, thermopiles/thermocouples, ignition systems, burners, gas logs, control modules, receivers, wall switches, remotes, and direct-vent fireplace systems. Our qualifications include National Fireplace Institute (NFI) training/credentials where applicable, ongoing manufacturer and field training, BBB accreditation, and extensive real-world diagnostic experience. We believe specialized training matters because gas fireplaces are not all built the same, and accurate diagnosis can prevent unnecessary parts replacement and repeat service calls.
