- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fees promoted on Thumbtack in reference to services such as TV mounting are generally for a single installation. If you are looking to have multiple televisions mounted, we usually will offer a discount on additional televisions. We carry a wide selection of television mounts to fit any need. Please feel free to contact us to receive direct pricing, as we carry professional grade products at wholesale prices. Wiring installation is priced at approximately $100 per run, given that the run is through an open attic or crawl space and terminates to an interior wall. Exterior walls and runs from a ground floor to a higher floor carry a higher cost. Home theater installation is always priced after a conversation with the customer due to the complexities that this type of job can entail. This insures that you receive a quote that delivers your individual needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer a more personal approach. Fulfilling a customer's needs is our top priority. After initial contact on Thumbtack, we prefer a phone conversation to establish a concrete, detailed understanding of the customer's job. For more complex installations we do offer a free in home consultation in order to provide a customized estimate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our two owners - John and Wayne Barber have extensive experience in audio, video, networking, and computer services. John retired from the military in December of 2015. While serving he specialized in satellite communications, network administration, server administration, and end user technical support. He provided on demand internet, video, audio, and telephone support to over 3,000 users in a variety of rugged environments. Prior to his military service he was a business sales representative for a major technology retailer in the West Texas region. Wayne retired from the Department of Homeland Security after over 32 years of service. He served in several roles including Senior Special Agent and Tactical Communication Officer. He has extensive experience in professional wiring, radio communications, video surveillance systems, networking, server administration, audio and video integration, and commercial installation.
