where do i begin? i hired Marie for my wedding on march 28 in the fort worth botanical gardens and also for my reception. in the beginning communication was great i felt like i was getting a great service especially for the price that all came to a stop on my actual wedding day ... i was told by marie that she would have 3 photographers one would go to my fiances place of getting ready to take pictures and she would come to my hotel to take getting ready pictures, 1. she provided me with the wrong cell phone number to get in contact with her that day( even though she had my contact information she never called ) 2. i called her home and the wrong cell number at least 15 times and i sent an email asking her if that was the right contact number and she responded back 45 mins before i had to leave for the ceremony. so she and her team never showed up to either location to get the prep pictures completed. so we get the the ceremony and i was in the bridal room and she comes in 30 mins before i am supposed to walk down the aisle just to get pictures of me in my dress which most were out of focus and i hate to say but my bridesmaids took better pictures on their phone than she did in the room. now to the ceremony ALOT of pictures were out of focus and she really didnt capture what i wanted ( even though i sent tons of pictures i wanted to get) if you didn't tell her what to do that day she didn't take a picture of it. i only had two photographers when i was told there would be three and also she said in my package i would have video of me walking down the aisle and that never happened. now this review is not all bad because she did capture some beautiful shots at the ceremony ( just not as many as i had hoped ) there were hardly any with the groom and his men and his family. now on to the reception and this is where it goes from bad to worse we arrive at the reception hall and we all sit down and have dinner and drinks and marie and her photographer and just standing in one spot near the gift table looking lost and as i stand up and talk to my guests she comes up to me and asks if its ok if she leaves!!! we haven't even done the first dance cutting the cake NOTHING and she asks to leave. i got so upset i hired her for an all day event and she states well there isn't much going on right now so i figured you don't need me and i told her no you can not leave get pictures of the guests and the decor. while you are waiting for the dances and toasts i would like pictures of my guests at the table ect. she ok'd and said well i didn't want to get in the way!( i was like this is your job you are supposed to get in the way and capture moments ) and took random shots, now when it came time for the dances, she got the shots however she decided she would get them all sitting down and in one spot the whole time of all the dances and i had guest complaints about for 2 hours they had flashes in their eyes because she didn't move. once i got my pictures back the pictures from the reception did not come out well at all some of the first dances came out ok but the others were terrible like she didn't even try , this was my special day and all i wanted was a memories to look back on i had a few but now what i paid for . there is so much more that i could say but i will not. i feel like i got my point across i would definitely not hire her again. Marie when you are doing weddings please take your time and take care of your bride and what she wants. don't rush shots and focus on them i don't want this to happen to another bride and groom who spent their hard earned money on your services.
