After some failed attempts with other airbrush artists I found Airbrush by Kolors. From the first message I sent Ruben, which he responded promptly, regarding a customairbrush portrait of my boyfriends Camero I knew I found the perfect artist. Ruben was profession and explained everything to me and when I sent him photos of the car it was like he knew exactly what I wanted from the start. The airbrushing of the Camero came out phenomenal and looks clean, crisp and precise. I also sent him a picture of my boyfriend’s Camero SS logo tattoo on his arm and he incorporated this in the portrait and it is amazing, it looks exactly like his tattoo! He sent me progress photos from start to finish. Ruben’s work is exceptional and if you chose to hire him you will not be disappointed in any way. I can’t wait to give this to my boyfriend for Christmas. Thank you Ruben/Airbrush by Kolors!!

Our project turned out better than I had envisioned. Ruben has the ability to take an image and turn it into a true one-of-a-kind work of art. He was professional, talented and his eye for detail is amazing. Will definitely use Airbrush by Kolors again!

When I found Ruben, I was a bit jaded. I had a recommendation for another artist from a friend, and when I reached out, the other artist ghosted me after three text.
Skeptical I could not find a great artist, I stumbled on his page from a random Google search. I put a request out to three artist on Thumbtack. One said she doesn't do live art, a request I had, wanting the artist to be inspired at my wedding and create on the spot. The 2nd artist never responded. Here we go again.
Ruben responded. Professional. We set up an appointment to meet, wanted him to see my place to understand my vision and meet my then fiancé. He came on time. Beat my fiancé and waited for her to come home from work. Super chill. Super friendly and respectful. He had his lovely lady with him and she was so sweet too.
My fiancé and I said on the spot, he is our guy..He even admitted he never did a painting on spot like that but would do his best.
He over delivered. He arrived at my wedding on time. Took all the inspiration in. And delivered a masterpiece. My guest was like in awe. It was in black and white and fire.
THEN he took it home, and added the kolor. And this is now the BEST art we have in our entire 4 story home. The cost was exactly what I wanted to pay. The service was amazing. So happy with this piece.

Exceeded Our Expectations
Ruben did sunch and awsome job that my dad had him from only doimg a mural in the living room ceiling to the dining, and kitchen as well. Such a hard working, talented, kind, absolutely genuine, down to earth, and honest. My dad said , Ruben had a pure white heart 🤍". Wish more people were like him. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices depend on complexity and size of project. Mural projects are usually charged by square footage ($15 - $20 a square foot). Smaller and more intricate designs on various substrates are charged by the hour($100hr) plus materials.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A customer can explain their vision by providing samples and from there, I can issue a quick rendering if needed. The customer must provide an initial payment of 50% up front and from there on, I update them with pictures so they can personally see the process. Once finished, I can send the project back to the customer’s doorstep by whichever shipping method they prefer. If it’s a local job, I can personally deliver the project to the customer. For mural jobs, after renderings are approved, I go to the customer’s provided location and set up by moving and covering furniture, carpet/flooring, and all objects that are not being painted.

I have 22 years of professional experience with all types of surfaces, paints, substrates, and small/large scale art. I have restored classics, custom painted motorcycles, helmets, amusement rides, murals, T-shirt’s, etc...
