Michelle was amazing to work with. She made our daughters engagement party a blast. She brought in a couple of other musicians as well and came up with the perfect for music for the night. She even took the time to write a special love song.

Michelle is great! I take vocal lessons from her for musical theater and she really takes the time to understand your needs and is patient with teaching new concepts. I look forward to working with her in the future.

Michelle is awesome she has really helped me in every aspect as an artist. Her way of explaining music theory is very understandable. She has helped me with my breathing techniques, my vocals and my song writing. She has really gone above and beyond for me! If your interested in singing lessons Michelle is definitely they one to go to!

I'm still new to voice lessons, but Michelle has been so helpful! I've only had one lesson and I already feel like I've learned so much. I'm excited to see how far I progress and what the future holds. Thank you, Michelle!

I never wanted to ever leave a bad review on anyone especially on small businesses but everything I did to coordinate and confirm dates and times plus not receiving my full deposit back still had left me no choice. from this incident of not even showing up on my wedding day to play music I will never ever go back to supporting a small business; which sucks cause I believe in helping the smaller companies. I had confirmation from Michelle weeks and a day prior to my wedding day. She even coordinated with the wedding coordinator at the venue. On my wedding day she was a no show. Waiting in the dressing room for the music to start. I was told by the wedding coordinator that the musician was not there. 5mins pass from when the ceremony was suppose to start and Michelle didn’t even give a call to tell me that she would be running late. Instead I called her; first call, I was hung up on, same with the second. Third she finally answered and said her gps was not working in her car and if we can walk her through directions (mind you I had 100 people waiting for me to walk down) the Wedding coordinator even mentioned she spoke to her a day prior and welcomed her to view the venue plus gave easier directions which Michelle confirm everything was a go. After all this 30mins passed and my coordinator said let’s connect to WiFi and I will play music. It wasn’t the best but thank God the coordinator was there! I paid Michelle $300 and gave up on her excuses saying there was fraudulent issue she was having (never received my full refund).

StarBound Music and Entertainment's reply
It is very unfortunate when people leave bad reviews without missing and accurate information and there is nothing Thumbtack can do. To protect myself and because of falsities, half-truths, and hacking and other trouble, I have had to hide my business on thumbtack temporarily. I am responding to this complaint later because I had to get advice on what to do about this problem happening twice in a row. Thumbtack has no way to protect either the customer or the professional because their policy is not inclusive enough. I would never hang up on a client and never have done so. And I have no reason not to show up unless there is an urgent cause or catastrophe which is what happened this day. I was unable to reach the venue destination due to last minute failed technology in an unknown area twenty minutes prior to the event. I called repeatedly trying to reach the coordinator, the attendants, or anyone who could answer and guide me to the venue; not being able to get there was horrifying and extremely upsetting and when I finally got a call, I was already in distress trying to explain what had happened; this client was not able to give me further directions to her venue, nor could the coordinator, which was very frustrating; I also stopped to ask directions and no one could tell me how to find the venue, which was also frustrating. Because of the nature of wedding ceremonies there was no time to do anything but cancel showing, which was known to the client and cannot be considered a ‘no-show’. The coordinator was unable to provide accuracy the night before and I had no access to a local street map that I could obtain in time to fix the problem. I have never missed any event for any reason and the lesson I learned from this is to have a printed map on hand in case of an emergency.
