- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Legal documents can often be prepared for a flat fee between $200 and $500, depending on the type of document. Criminal cases can often be handled for a flat fee basis (not including trial of the case). The fee in criminal cases depends on many factors including the severity of the charges. For other legal matters, we will usually bill by the hour and will require an initial retainer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will generally be able to consult on your issue for free over the phone or via email. This allows you to determine if we are the right attorneys for your issue and if you think our fee is appropriate. Once you decide to hire us, we can discuss the matter further over the phone, in person, or via email to make sure we understand the your needs and goals. We require a signed engagement letter which is the contract between the client and us. The engagement letter will set out the work we are to perform and the fee we are to be paid. Once we are hired on your case, we very easy to reach on the phone or via email and will keep you updated on your matter.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Economics and History from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. I have previously worked at a large law firm handling complex commercial litigation cases. I also have experience in formation of business entities, contract drafting and negotiation, and working on television and film projects.
