Introduction: Hello dear parents. My name is Amy Li, and I am a native Mandarin speaker. I teach Mandarin in Montessori schools ever since moved to Texas. I taught Mandarin dual immersion program in schools for over than 5 years in California. Additionally, I tutor all grade levels ( TK-11th Grade), simplified and traditional Chinese, which also includes SAT and AP Chinese via Zoom.

I’ve been a student of Amy’s for over 4 years. I remember when I first started as a mandarin student during middle school, I barley knew how to read or write in mandarin and I was struggling often with mandarin pinyin and spellings of words. However, the moment I started learning with my teacher, she was very sweet and patient about teaching me exact spellings and how to sound out specific words. I really enjoyed her class and although there were difficult times when I couldn’t figure out specific meanings of words, she was able to help me out and teach me to understand what it was I didn’t get in the first place. Not only that but, her style of teaching is unique as she doesn’t make class boring and sleep-inducing, but instead, she makes her class fun with different activities and discussions. Throughout the years, I’ve become fluent in mandarin and I am now able to have a typical conversation with other mandarin speakers. I am currently in high school, and I still attend Amy’s classes a few days a week. She’s a great teacher and has taught me so much about the cultures and the language itself, which has allowed me to make new friends of that culture and further understand the differences between my own life and that of students in China. Overall, she is a very productive and considerate teacher, one of the best mandarin teachers I’ve had throughout the years learning this language. 😄😄😄 :)) I really recommend her for anyone that decides to learn mandarin or is having difficulty in certain aspects of understanding mandarin.
